ARC’s CTP program provides funding for counties and their municipalities to develop joint long-range transportation plans. These plans help articulate local priorities for transportation investments and serve as the basis for building the region’s long-range Regional Transportation Plan.
In January 2013, Fulton County, in conjunction with the cities in the southern portion of the county, held three meetings to present findings on the Existing Conditions and the Needs Assessment documentation of the South Fulton Comprehensive Transportation Plan (SFCTP). The consulting team, with input received during the public meetings and the completion of the technical analysis, drafted a set of project recommendations for the next 20 years.
During the month of September, Fulton County will hold three final public open houses to give you the opportunity to comment on the major transportation investments identified in the Plan. Recommended improvements include pedestrian facilities, bicycle facilities, public transit, roadway capacity and operational improvements, bridges, intelligent transportation systems, maintenance projects, and freight improvements. County data as well as maps depicting proposed investments will be displayed and available for your review. Information gathered from the open houses will be used to enhance the project list and finalize the document.
All meetings will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and be held at the following locations:
Thursday, September 19th
Burdett Gymnasium- Multipurpose Room
Wednesday, September 25th
Landmark Christian School
Thursday, September 26th
Southwest Arts Center
