Feedback Needed on GA-400 Transit Alternatives

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) and its planning partners are continuing public outreach efforts to identify transit options that will improve mobility and accessibility around the Georgia 400 corridor. A recent milestone has been accomplished in the study process, as four potential transit alternatives in the study area have now been identified and are available for public inspection. Community engagement has been instrumental in the development of a set of alternatives that could provide high capacity transit options, which all meet the study’s goals to:

  • Improve mobility and access
  • Support land use and economic development
  • Provide cost-effective transit service
  • Minimize environmental impacts

To advance further in the federal funding process, MARTA staff are soliciting feedback on the four alternatives so that a preferred alternative may be selected. A project newsletter and presentation have been published to introduce the study and current alternatives. After reviewing these resources, the public is invited to take a survey to vote on a favorite alternative. Additionally, the public may interact with staff through the project’s facebook page or emailing connect400[at]
