Great project implementation news from the City of Duluth:

The City of Duluth invites you to join us for the dedication of the Davenport Road Sidewalk and Road Improvement Project. In recognition of the successful partnership among many agencies and citizens, the community is invited to the ceremonial ribbon cutting of the newly improved Davenport Road. The celebration will be held along Davenport Road on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 1:30 PM.

In conjunction with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) through their Transportation Enhancement (TE) Program and the High Priority Project matching grant program, the completion of these important sidewalk and roadway improvements represent one link in the ongoing efforts of the Mayor and City Council to improve the connectivity and safety within the City of Duluth.

The Honorable Mayor Nancy Harris will officiate the ceremony by opening the newly improved roadway and our GDOT Board Member, Rudy Bowen, will be making remarks. Photograph opportunities will be available immediately following the ceremony and a commemorative ribbon will be distributed. The entire ceremony is scheduled to last approximately one hour.

Signage will be posted to direct attendees to designated parking locations. We hope that you will be able to join us for the ribbon cutting of the revitalized Davenport Road on September 1, 2011 at 1:30 pm.

Please contact Melissa Muscato, City of Duluth Project Manager at 678-957-7284 if you have any question or need further information.
