Cobb SPLOST Penny to Fund Transportation Improvements

Cobb voters narrowly passed a SPLOST referendum yesterday, securing the funds to pay for various future local infrastructure needs. Roughly half of the projected $492 million to be raised by the four-year, 1% sales tax will be used to build transportation improvements for the citizens of Cobb County.

  • Roadway capacity and operational improvements

  • Replacement and rehabilitation of structurally deficient bridges
  • Expanded sidewalk coverage
  • Transit operational improvements
