Doraville Livable Centers Initiative Study Final Recommendations to be Presented Tonight

The 2010 Doraville Downtown Master Plan is a community-based effort to prepare a plan for the area including and surrounding the now shuttered Doraville Assembly Plant. The plant’s redevelopment and its ripple effects provide opportunities to connect diverse communities, fill housing and economic voids, foster quality growth, and expand public space. The study’s goal is to capitalize on these opportunities and ensure that future redevelopment benefits Doraville, surrounding communities, and the region.

The public is invited to view a formal presentation of the final recommendations of the LCI Study. These have been prepared based  on comments received at January’s Draft Plan Open House and through the project website

At the meeting the consultant team will present:

  • GM site redevelopment recommendations
  • Land use recommendations
  • Transportation recommendations
  • Public facilities and space recommendations
  • Environment recommendations
  • Implementation strategies

Comments and feedback will also be taken so that the plan can be finalized for adoption.

This final plan presentation will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Doraville Civic Center (3770 Central Avenue, Doraville, GA 30360).
