Be Counted: Census 2010

The 2010 Census will be critical to the Atlanta region and the entire State of Georgia.  Census data will help determine how more than $400 billion of federal funding is spent each year on infrastructure and services like:

•     Hospitals

•     Job training centers

•     Schools

•     Senior centers

•     Transportation infrastructure

•     Emergency services

It is estimated that for each adult not counted, the region in which that person lives loses $1,200 in federal funding. Census information also affects the number of seats your state has in the U.S. Congress.

As you can see, getting an accurate count is critical for the economic sustainability of our region. Please encourage everyone to complete their form and return it – a project or service important to your community may depend on it.
